    I was an internalizer.

I am an internalizer, and like a lot of people, internalized a lot of the stresses of 2020 to the point of a total mental meltdown. This book was given as a gift to me. I took the 40 day journey, and learned so much about balancing my inner self and having peace. It’s a great gift, or something anyone should do to get in the habit (takes 40 days) of self-care, and finding peace in your soul. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Thank you Michele

All in all, I found this workbook to be a very engaging and interactive read. Not only does the author attack the subject on a technical/scientific level, but they also give you exercises that you can apply in your daily life to help improve yourself. I was specifically interested because my career requires the ability to handle high levels of stress. The author breaks down all the scientific details behind stress, but also keeps the subject very readable and simple to allow a reader to digest the complexities in an easy manner.

I gained the much value out of the actual exercises and tools suggested that you can use to implement in your daily life. Some of the exercises/tools suggested in the book I now implement everyday, and have really began to see a difference in my quality of life. Highly suggest for those looking for active strategies that can actually be applied to your life! It’s not just an educational read, which I’ve found can be the case with a lot of self-improvement books.

In a time where Change Management is fluid in the corporate setting, especially during a pandemic, the release of this workbook could not be more “timely.” The tools and resources reflected in this published work are direct, thought provoking and inspiring. It was empowering to me as it sets insight into the physiological implications of stress and teaches you how to identify your stressors and control them before they control you.

The stress management exercises are easy to understand and can be applied to the ever evolving work and life environments. Especially, for those who continue to manage work-from-home balance and are needing to set solid boundaries. Taking time for Self Development is a reality with this book and anyone that is looking to feel more empowered I encourage them to begin their journey with this book.

Not just a great reminder to take care of myself during the hectic workday. This workbook walked me through some breathing/meditation processes that really helped clear my mind. Amazing…how a quick 15-minute stress reliever (morning, afternoon, or evening) made such an impact in my daily routine. I found it difficult to commit to these sessions at first (didn’t feel like I could afford the time) but after a few days I felt a noticeable difference in my focus and productivity.

I challenge anyone short on time to give it a try; I bet you’ll be as surprised as I was how quickly your body will welcome these exercises. I know I’ve gained more than twice the time invested with the mental clarity achieved in the first few weeks. Thank you!!

    Just Breathe!

The exercises in this well thought out book are helpful, even crucial, to relieving stress and clearing the mind. They are helpful in your everyday life. It was helpful to me personally right now in what has been and continues to be a very stressful time. In this book we learn what stress is and how it affects the body. Biofeedback, its purpose and equipment used, is discussed for understanding and self-help. The relaxation exercises are easily accomplished with several breathing methods. Breathing is important as you will know if you’ve practiced yoga. I found one skill especially helpful for my occasional difficulty in falling asleep. Three deep breaths relax me and I am soon asleep. As we have learned, sleep is important to our health in many ways and a simple, natural way to achieve it is here in powerful and informative book.
